How to launch yourself and your career abroad?

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re already on your way to claim a place abroad — not just get a job, landing somewhere you actually belong.

Let’s break this goal down.

If the goal is “Get a job abroad”, it has two parts:

  1. Get Yourself GOOD
  2. Get Yourself KNOWN
Framework to get a job aboard

And here’s the thing.

We’re almost certain you already Get-Yourself-GOOD. If you have a decent GPA, solid thinking ability, or you know you’re capable — then yes, you are.

But the part we see 95% of students (you included) struggle with is Get-Yourself-KNOWN.

Even after networking. Even after “doing all the right things.” Something still feels… off. The job is still not on the horizon.

So this is what you start doing:

  • You keep on stuffing the resume with the thoughts of how to change these words into something to feel more “weight”
  • You keep on working on another project just in case
  • You keep on networking, going into events, adding LinkedIn

And paradoxically, the more you do, the more you feel exhausted.

You feel that such effort doesn’t translate into anything significant.

You feel like a tiny DHS in a market that seems so big.

Here’s what I see:

You’re doing more because, deep down, you are afraid that: “You are not qualified enough”.

Let’s see, your profile doesn’t look like “the standard”:

  • Your career path isn’t straight, you changed direction
  • Your experience doesn’t look like the norms who seems to be more qualified for the job
  • You don’t fit neatly into one box.

and that to you, and also to the market, seems less qualified.

And because of that, you start overcompensating — push harder, add more, do more — in order to look more like “the standards”.

The truth is:

It’s not that you are not good enough.

It’s that you don’t know what a person like you, with all the specific experiences, can bring to the table.

There are still so much about you that haven’t been translated clearly enough so that the market can see and value.

It’s YOU who also lack that clarity.

You don’t really know what you can bring to the market.

And when you are still unclear, not confident, the market will mirror the exact confusion and hesitation.

  • People won’t fully see you
  • Interviewers are hesitant.

What actually changes everything:

Getting crystally clear on who you are — and the value only you can bring to the market.

Because when that part is clear, everything else moves differently.

Then, and only then:

  • You stop questioning if you’ve done enough
  • You speak without forcing
  • You connect without performing

That knowingness — about your strengths, your values, your edge — flows naturally into your resume, your interviews, your presence.

This knowingness speaks LOUDER than any 19-times reviewed resume or a ChatGPT-polished interview scripts.

So before you try to Get-Yourself-KNOWN, or go in the unconscious hustling mode, applying more, networking more — pause.

Get clear on WHO YOU ARE. Because that’s the backbone that everything else based onto.

When you are clear, opportunities know where to find YOU.

When you are clear, people connect more in alignment.

When you are clear, people know how to help you.

That’s why “Getting clear of your values” is step 1 in our signature program: The Global Career Launch — where Vietnamese DHS learn to enter new markets with clarity and confidence, instead of meaningless hustling.
